Hot Melt Adhesive(Polymer Tape) is the insulating part on the tabs.Its function is to prevent short circuit between the metal strip and the aluminum laminated film when the battery is encapsulated,and to prevent leakage of liquid by heating and thermally sealing the aluminum-plastic film together during encapsulation.
